Repair Your Smile with Dentures | Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman

At Frisco Dental Studio, Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman and our dental team are dedicated to providing high-quality removable dentures to both new and existing patients who have experienced tooth loss, whether it’s partial or complete. Our custom-crafted dentures offer a cosmetic and functional solution tailored to each patient’s specific needs.

Crafting dentures begins with a series of impressions of the patient’s jaw, teeth, and gums, along with precise measurements. We meticulously create a model, which undergoes testing and adjustments until the color, shape, and fit are perfect for the patient. Once the model meets our standards, it’s sent to the dental lab to cast the permanent denture. Finally, the patient receives the permanent denture, and we make any minor adjustments necessary to ensure comfort and fit.

There are two main types of dentures: Conventional Full Dentures and Partial Dentures.

Each serves a different purpose in replacing missing teeth.

Conventional Full Dentures are ideal when a patient needs replacement for all upper and/or lower teeth. After the gums heal from any extractions, we take impressions and measurements of the jaws and gums to craft a custom model for the denture. The model is adjusted for fit, then sent to the lab for fabrication. Once complete, Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman fits the denture, making any minor adjustments for a secure, comfortable fit.

Partial Dentures, also called Dental Bridges, replace one or more missing teeth. In addition to aesthetics, patients often choose bridges to prevent teeth from shifting. A standard bridge places a crown on the teeth surrounding the gap and attaches a replacement tooth to those crowns. We ensure the replacement matches the patient’s natural teeth for a seamless smile.

Regular follow-ups with the doctor are essential for both types of dentures. Adjustments may be needed over time to maintain proper fit and comfort. Dentures should be cleaned regularly using a soft-bristle toothbrush and non-abrasive cleanser to avoid plaque buildup. Typically, dentures should be replaced every 5-10 years, and Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman can evaluate whether yours need refitting or replacement.
